Well, A big thank you to all that helped me out with my dilema, The solution was attaching an ohm meter to the side stand, sure enough it was severly dirty. A little contact cleaner and it was working fine. But still no start. So I started checking all of the connections, and the culprit was in the Run and off switch, cobwebs! A common thing here if Florida when somthing sits for a while. I put about 60 miles on the bike today, and its running just fine. Again thank you to all that contributed. Ive been away from bikes for about 12 years, and I took at chance on this 87' Savage, buying it without hearing it run, but the price was right and it looks great. It has almost 7,000 miles on it. I have a feeling that there will be many more to come. Thanks, Bruce
